Description:
Gospel songs are the origin of Elvis Presley's music. Here No One Stands Alone" is an album of newly recorded performances and backing vocals over the vocals of gospel songs recorded by Elvis before his death. Backing vocals are provided by Darren Love (who performed on the '68 Comeback Special), Cissy Houston (who joined Elvis on stage as a member of the Sweet Inspirations and as a backing singer), Terry Blackwood of The Imperials, Terry Blackwood Terry Blackwood of The Imperials, Armond Morales, Jim Murray (who participated in Elvis' gospel work, "The Great God"), Bill Bayes of The Stamps Quartet, Ed Hill, Donnie Summer, Larry Strickland (who was in Elvis' backup group for a long time), and many others in the music world who shared the stage and studio with Elvis. The album also features a number of music legends who have shared the stage and studio with Elvis. A more notable track is the album's title track, "Here No One Stands Alone," which features Elvis Presley's daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, who was born to Elvis Presley and Priscilla, and who also performed on the album. The album includes the 1965 Top 5 hit "Cling in the Chapel," "Great God," "Yule Never Walk Alone," the praise-filled gospel rock of "Saved," the traditional hymns and spirituals of "So High," " Stand By Me," "In the Garden," and "Amazing Grace"), and 14 gospel songs that Elvis loved. Elvis Presley once said. From the time I was two years old, gospel music was all I knew. It became a very big part of my life and was as natural to me as dancing. It was a way to escape my problems and to free myself in my own way. While it was an explosive mix of blues, bluegrass, country, swing, and pop styles that created Elvis's iconic, world-changing rock 'n' roll, it was his childhood hymns, spirituals, and songs from his childhood that sustained him and his musical vision throughout his life. But throughout his life, it was the hymns, spirituals, and church music he heard as a child that sustained him and his musical vision, as well as his deeply rooted gospel roots. He won two Grammy Awards during his lifetime, both for gospel music.Elvis won his first Grammy Award (Best Sacred Performance) for "The Greatest God" and his second Grammy Award (Best Inspirational Performance) for "The Greatest Love". He won his second Grammy (Best Inspirational Performance) for "The Greatest Love. This is my father's favorite genre," he said. There was no doubt about it," said Lisa Marie in the album liner notes. My father seemed most passionate and at peace when he was singing gospel music. Whether he was singing at home for himself and me or on stage in front of thousands of fans, he was always so full of life.
